In a world so filled with judgment, separation, violence, and polarity, we often take for granted the impact that we can have with a simple interaction. When problems seem so big, we forget that it’s the handshakes, the smiles, the nods, or the proximity to another person that allows us to stay present in our lives. Every interaction, every form of contact, is actually a miracle.
Think about how many people there are on this planet. What are the chances that everything leading up to this moment aligned perfectly to create a single interaction? Personally, I’ve come to realize that it isn’t by chance. It’s a result of every choice you’ve made from the day you were born and each whisper that you’ve followed from the Universe.
Have you ever acknowledged the gift that you are to the world of others? Have you ever considered what you changed in someone’s life by simply smiling at them? How about waving and saying hello? Maybe you only made eye contact with them. You may not be stopping a flying bullet or running out in front of a car to shove someone out of the way, but you are creating miracles.
But here is a little secret about miracles…for you to create more, you’ve got to acknowledge them. So often, when things shift and change, we miss what had to occur in the world for you to have the change. Every time you engage with another person, what is it that you could receive if you acknowledge the miracles?
Would you be willing to give yourself 5 minutes to reflect on the interactions you had today, yesterday, or this past week? Consider the conversations, the glances, the touches. What have you contributed and received?
